This July we commemorate the centenary of the beginning of the migration of 21,000 Mennonites from the Soviet Union to Canada.

Memories of Migration Tour
The Russlaender Centenary Committee of MHSC has organized a cross-country train tour that is re-enacting the journey taken by the Russlaender immigrants as they travelled from their ports of arrival to points as far west as British Columbia. The three-part tour begins in Quebec City and ends in Abbotsford.

Divergent Voices of Canadian Mennonites
In 1999 the Mennonite Historical Society of Canada, with the financial assistance of Mennonite Central Committee Canada, undertook a multi-year project on the “Divergent Voices of Canadian Mennonites.” These have included both academic conferences and published monographs.

Mennonites in Canada
The Mennonite Historical Society of Canada was established in 1966 to sponsor the writing of a history of the Mennonites in Canada.
